Watched my downloaded copy of this film today, and found it really good – quite sad, sometimes funny, but with a lesson for us all to learn. Here was a man, Mounir, sacked from being a Saddam ‘double’ (before he knew the evils Saddam had in mind), and wanting to make a new life in Los Angeles. The film shows he went through ridicule, abuse and rejection but he tried to fit in with life there. His neighbour, although a friend, wanted to expose him for financial gain, but his ‘landlord’ was a true friend. Brilliant acting by everyone, and a film you must watch for yourself. DO DOWNLOAD IT IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY DONE SO. And the lesson for us to learn? Don’t reject people because of how they look, or the way they act – we don’t know their background!
